My Background
I grew up in the Bernese Jura, where I completed my primary and secondary schooling before attending high school in Biel until 2019. I then studied and competed for Boston University in the United States for a year until 2020, before returning to Switzerland to continue my academic studies at the University of Fribourg in the fall of 2020. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Sport Sciences in 2025, and have been running professionally since the fall of 2025.
As a former figure skater at the CP St-Imier and then CP Bienne from 2003 to 2018, I learned the values of hard work, determination and resilience very early on in my career. This allowed me to progress quickly when I began athletics in August 2017. After a few months, I specialized in middle-distance running, at first with a preference for the 800m in 2018, then more for the 1500m from 2019 onwards.
Motivated to learn and improve, my journey in this sport has been an exciting adventure so far, in which I have learned to navigate the intense highs and inevitable lows of athletics within the course of a few years.
Ambitions
From my early days in the exciting world of athletics, I rose quickly through the ranks, qualifying for the European Championships in the U20 (Borås 2019) and U23 (Tallinn 2021) categories.
These successes motivated me to believe in my potential and set even more ambitious goals for the rest of my career.
My dream is to someday compete at the Olympic Games. I am therefore fully committed to qualifying for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
On the way to achieving my goals
The European and World Championships are important intermediate goals on my path to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In order to achieve these milestones and reach the highest level of my sport, careful planning, a rigorous training program, and many sacrifices are necessary.
Every year, I participate in numerous training camps and competitions abroad to take advantage of optimal training conditions and high-level races. Each trip allows me to discover a new facet of the world and enjoy unique experiences.
Alongside my sport, I pursued university studies to prepare for my post-athletic career and explore interests outside athletics, thereby contributing to my overall life balance. I concluded my studies in the summer of 2025, and am now fully committed to running professionally as I strive to reach my goals.
Although the investment required to thrive as a professional athlete is considerable, it is more than compensated for by the incredible emotions and unforgettable adventures I am lucky enough to experience along the way. Every stride brings me closer to achieving my dreams, and that vision is worth every sacrifice!
I love strength and jumps training as they allow me to develop my muscular and biomechanical skills and feel more effortless when racing.
My weeks are long and my schedule is always full, but when you love what you do, you don’t count the cost! I am passionate about my work, so I try to get the most out of every area of my life. Of course, I’ve had to experiment and discover my limits, but this self-knowledge now allows me to set appropriate boundaries to protect my resources and thus flourish serenely in the projects I undertake.
As a very active child, I started figure skating at the age of three. This sport then accompanied me through every stage of my childhood and adolescence, through the good times and the bad. At the age of 12, I set out to make it my life’s work to one day achieve elite athlete status and compete at the Olympic Games. Despite my growing commitment, my progress in skating did not suggest an international career. My coaches at the time, aware of my dreams and ambitions, advised me to try my luck in a sport that might be better suited to my strengths: athletics. After a trial season combining both sports in 2017, my potential and enjoyment in athletics were clear. So, I devoted myself entirely to my new sport starting from the spring of 2018.
